Dreams in essence (3)

Alright! I have had a few internal discussions revolving around dreams. Not aspirations, so to speak, but, rather, actual visions interpreted on a more metaphysical, subliminal level. I'm wondering if dreams correlate to reality. My question for you all is as such: have any of your dreams come to deal with reality, been molded after true events, or are so realistic that you are certain they've happened or will come to happen?

Well, yes, some people believe that when you dream, your souls is leaving your body and is essentially exploring space and time. So in my experiences with that stuff, any time I've dreamt it's been of a future event (all be it kinda worthless). I'm sure you can practice seeing more important things or whatever, but to answer ya question, yeah, personally, all my dreams so far have come true but no, almost none of them were interpretations, think of it like that show that's so Raven ;p

Dreaming is your subconscious processing information that you have gained over the course of the day. It can access other information that is triggered by something that happened or was on your mind recently (it doesn't even necessarily have to be limited to that day, especially if you place importance on the topic or feel like you should know more about it than you do).

Often, what the dream is expressing is emotional memories. It takes emotions from the day and puts images to them for processing. Often, dreams are recollections of things that happened, presented in more or less realistic terms, depending on the dream. Sometimes dreams are hopes or fears for the future, again used literally or used to express the emotions in a symbolic way. Other times, perhaps we picked up on little details that could have significance in the future, but that we didn't really acknowledge on a conscious level at the time, so our dream explores possible connections to future events.

Then there is the belief about dreams that predict the future - a future that you could not have known about and could not have gotten any normal/natural signs for subconsciously. There is no scientific backing for these dreams and many claim that it is coincidence, or the dream was a reflection of a fear or hope that happened to come to pass. Unfortunately, I have no opinion on this subject. I have had times in the past where dreams have predicted things (usually metaphorically, though occasionally literally) that I could not have picked up any clues about. I can look back and grant that maybe it was a hope or fear, maybe it was coincidence, maybe it was this-or-that. At the time I felt it was premonition, but since I can't really explain it, but many people (including myself) have felt that it was the case at one time or another, I remain undecided. In a logical sense, it doesn't seem reasonable to believe, but I won't close my mind to the possibility.

But long story short, yes. Dreams are always rooted to some degree in reality and your experiences in some way.
