This is a topic that has always been on my mind and I'm sure it's something other Dollars can understand. Do you look at your everyday life and wish for more? Like, something really cool and unique and something only you have expirienced? Sometimes I'm really happy with my life and the things I get to do that others don't (like go on a nice vacation or meet someone interesting) but other times I wish my life was more interesting. Yet I'm not sure what I'm looking for or if it's even anything in particular. Anyone have any thoughts on this issue?

This is a dangerous road to travel.

With that being said, I know exactly what you mean.
I believe that it is not a "thing" but more of a place.
I personally call it, simply, "The Extraordinary"

It's almost like a twilight zone, or up-side-down, but not.
It's both a feeling, and a place.

You know that feeling when the fire alarm goes off at school?
When you see a car accident or even hear a gun shot?
When you find out someone you know is cheating, or
You're being cheated on?

It's like that. I believe that's the feeling or face you're looking for?

Trust me, It's an exciting place to be and sometime dangerous place to stay.

But when it comes to living Izaya's life of constant evolution, sometimes it's okay to stay put and enjoy what you've become.

I don't know how to get to the extraordinary, but It's kind of like door that finds you, or appears when you look for it, but It's on no map, and there sure as hell ain't no "X marks the spot" for it.


Just make yourself aware that if sometimes you're pushed through the door. And other times you have the choice to walk through.

But always be conscious to the fact that it might be a one way door or the key to leave might take weeks to find.


So be careful okay Yuki?

>>2 I honestly couldn't have said it better. Sometimes the "thrill" or "the extraordinary" finds you, and it's a good thing, but a lot of the time it's not. Just, be careful when you step through the door when you find it. Also, don't go about *causing* chaos, just to get a knock off version of the feeling. Trust me, finding trouble is NOT the answer. It doesn't hurt to want to change up the normal routine of life. Just be careful of what you do, because you don't want to get into trouble.

As a kid whenever you'd go somewhere new it was like an adventure because it was your first time seeing everything. And then as an adult everything is so boring. Time also seems to speed up. But that's because as a kid time went slower because you actively thought about all the new stuff around you and you experienced it for the first time. As an adult it's sort of like white noise where your brain just goes on auto-pilot and you just cant care. You can change that by doing something new and switching stuff up significantly. That's where your "twilight zone" comes in. I think that's how you find it. Though sometimes it finds you. You just need to experience something new for the first time.
