Hi um, So my boyfriend has been very suicidal recently. His parents aren't being cool to him either. They keep saying rude things like "You're making that depression shit up" and "Stop actig so upset all the time". His birthday is in 4 days and he was grounded for saying he didn't want to do something. He literally has nothing now. No TV, Game, Books, Phone, Nothing. His room was full and now its just a bed. SI snuck over yesterday. I want to help him and make his 16th birthday the best but I dont know what to do. I can't even contact him right now and it's driving me insane. Last I saw, he was crying due to him not doing anything to deserve this. He is probably going insane due to boredom. He gets bored very easily and has to move around alot due to his ADHD. I don't even think his parents are allowing him to leave the room.... Someone. Please help me. I want to be a good boyfriend but I don't know what to do...
Hm have you tried to talk about it with your parents or some close friends if his? Then you together could try to talk to his parents and you (alone?) could try to get him out for a while to do something together. Depressed people often have suicidal thoughts but they think they are a burden to everyone around them. That’s why they close themselves off very often so nobody has to deal with them even though they wish someone would notice how bad they feel. They are tired of talking about it, because they think nobody would understand or even care. Yes even though people around them might care they still feel alone. So trying to gather some people and having a conversation with his parents is a good start I think. These people don't need to know everything, just so much that they can understand the seriousness of the situation your boyfriend is in.
