ummm hey,I really want some advice so here is my little story. I was bullied at my old school because I am the "smartass",I felt so lonely when my only friend left and started bullying me. right now it is summer break for me and the next year I am going to transfer to a new school. I don't want the same thing to happen but of course I am not going to let my grades slip just to get friends either. so,any advice on how to make friends at my new school?

Ummm, just never tell anyone what your grades are, and ask your teachers not to announce them to the class if that's what you're concerned about.
For the friend thing. I was a loner for like half on my first year of highschool, but after the principal started standing near my loner spot, I just went straight to a random group of people I knew the names of and those are who became my "friends" throughout High school up until the middle of the fourth year (where I met two people who ended up becoming my closest friends).After highschool ended, I only have one friend from then that I still keep in touch with sometimes. Grades shouldn't be a problem amongst friends. The group I was in consisted of (gradewise) one straight f student who dropped out later, two ok students, me who was just average (I was the only one in the group who watched anime), and a really smart dude who almost became one of the valedictorians, of the school. Grades shouldn't play a role in who your friends are, that's just nonsense. The advice I have is don't take bullies seriously and don't let other people's opinion's about your grades get to you. You'll find friends eventually, so don't worry about that.
