Hi, I don't put my business out there to be honest often, but I don't really know what to do and was wondering if someone could give me a little advice. Alright first off, I'm from the south. He's, we like gravy with our biscuits, country music, and we say y'all a lot, but TBH I don't fit in. I don't have a country accent. I don't dress like everyone else. It's awkward guy it really is. Anyways, I'm dating this really freakin country dude and I love country, I'm just like, not country. I don't even f*cking know at this point. So anyways I'm dating him and it's been like a month but I'm not feeling it. There's this other guy I kinda like, and don't get me wrong I'm looking for a serious relationship but my boyfriend is always working, doesn't have time to see me, can't even text me a simple "busy gtg" so ignores me all day, and doesn't open up.. When I think something is cute he's just like "that's gay" and continues on, he won't even tell his parents we're dating cause he wants to avoid all the "annoying questions", like c'mon dude really? I love him to death but it's pissing me off how he's being so close minded and then there's this other guy. He works but he has time to always text me, he's actually more like me, he's more cute, more.. Idk, just more like me. He opens up and isn't closed minded like my boyfriend. It's sooooo frustrating cause I really do care for my boyfriend and im so happy he's country (they just have this awesome thing about them you don't understand) and he can be caring but it's just I can't deal with not being able to see or barley talk to him. It's easier said than done to break up with him. Just someone give me advice. I'm equally adored with both of them but they're so different I cant exlain it. Man I thought I could make this short but I accidentally ranted on.. okay so please if you even have a little advice please help!!!!

1) If you like someone else while you are dating someone, usually means you didn't really like the original person that much

2) If he is too busy for you, is he really worth your time?

3) If he can't call you his gf to his parents, then that's a red flag, why wouldn't he be more than happy to present you as his gf? (Although, it does depend on how long you've been dating)

4) In my opinion, your bf sounds sorta shitty, but go w/ your gut.

If there's someone else who is more compatible with you and who seems interested, then I'd say go with him.

If bae can't put in the time to talk to you, then it's not going to work out. Communication is key

>>3 I agree that communication is key.
>>1 Look, just whatever you do, don't actually cheat on your boyfriend. If you don't like your boyfriend, break up. Don't be flirting with other guys while you're dating, keep the flirting for you and your boyfriend. If you don't like your boyfriend, you should break up with him. If your reason for breaking up is that you like another guy then that's stupid, you need to learn how to be loyal. You can still like someone else and not give in to those feelings, you gotta realize that the one you're dating goes above anybody else no matter what, real love takes effort and is not as easy as the movies paint it out to be. You're supposed break up with someone because you're not compatible with them, not because of a little feeling you got in you towards the possibility of there being another guy better than the one you are with. If the guy you're with is literally being a jerk and you don't like it, let him know (i think you probably already have, but still). If after telling him that this could ruin your relationship and he still does not put any effort to make things better, then I'd say go for it and break up. And let him know clearly, don't just hint at it.

>>4 I know what you're saying but I'm not flirting with the other guys it's just kinda like, hey you're there and I like you. I try so hard to be reasonable and give him space but it's like, he doesn't try... At all.. And I let him know, he just doesn't care it seems like. I am loyal, I don't play around. I want a real relationship but if he's wasting my time then it's a no go I just can't tell what to do.

>>2 and thank you finally someone has put what I'm trying to say in actual words!! It's just like he really is shitty and all my friends tell me but I wanted to get a bystanders opinion so thank you.

>>3 and I totally agree, it takes two seconds to respond and turns out he was posting things on social media when he was "out of data" and didn't text me back so there's a huge lack of communication haha fml

Thank you everyone for your opinion it did really help!
