Here's what's going on:
My family is pretty big. There are 8 of us. We are all living in a one-bedroom home. Been in this house here, ten years. only my father and two older brothers are working. I quit my job two months ago and have been officially diagnosed with epilepsy just this Tuesday. I was just starting my new job hunt two days ago, and was about to ask a girl I like out. BUT! It might just not happen. The house my family has been renting for the last 10 years is going up for sale, the 6th of next month. Here's probably why : The landlord had passed away a couple years ago. The landlord's daughter then claims to be landlord. Turns out it was a lie, and we've been paying rent to the deceased landlord's daughter for the past two years (give or take a few months) and she's been using that money for who knows what. Anyways, we just got a notice today, we have twenty something days to a possible maximum of three months to find a new place to live. The deceased landlord's daughter is probably not going to get the house back unless they are somehow able to cough up 400 grand by the 6th of july.

The deceased landlord was nice enough to let us rent the house for a low price of $800 a month whereas everywhere else in the city charges $1200 and up for a space this big. Sadly, because there are eight of us, I do not believe anybody is willing to take us all in into a one-bedroom place. For the eight of us it is legally supposed to be three bedrooms or more to house as much people as us where we live. And three bedrooms in this city goes way above $3000 a month. My family is way below the poverty line to be able to afford that much. We're basically screwed for a while. we may have to move from the city and I don't want to leave.I like it here and the majority of my life was spent here. I was about to confess to my crush too but now I don't think that's going to happen as I might never see them again, and a new relationship might not be the route to go when the family is in such a tight situation. I really need to find a good paying job that I can walk to because of my epilepsy. If I can find a decent job I might not have to move away. And my family needs to start looking for a place to live as soon as we can too. we may go homeless for a while if the situation demands it. well... I'm not going to come on this site anymore come Friday. I will check the next few days, but I gotta go on the house hunt and the job hunt for a while. I'll be back maybe when that's all over.

So here's my goodbye from me to you all, and I wish to come back again, but I don't know when that'll be. Maybe a month, a year? I don't know, but this was such a fun community to be around in for the past year and a half. Farewell fellow dollars, until next time. you will be missed.

UPDATE: I got a job, applied and went through interview today and I start soon(it's at a Denny's). It was much easier to find a job than I thought. They just have to verify that I'm legally here by tomorrow and then I start! It's actually going to be a decent wage too! I'm excited! Now I just have to go on the house hunt. Nearly everyone in my family is an adult (except for two), so, now that I think about it, I am going to hunt for a room to rent on my own. That way the rest of my family can have one less burden on them. I will also try to look for a place for them as well. I hope everything goes well, this might be fixed sooner than I thought. :)

yeah, I might stay around. I'll post updates and let everyone know how everything is going. Just won't be coming on as often as before though ('cause not as much free time, as well as the house hunting journey I will go on soon). The Denny's is a 24 hours one and I'm going to be getting some unfovorable hours, but I just really need the job right now. Haven't started looking for a place yet, but will after my first paycheck. I will keep you all updated when I can.

I think I understand your circumstance. I live wi my parents and im still studying. I have one brother and two sister, im the youngest one, my brother and my first sister already married and stay wt my parents. Now both of them have given one child each pair and my sister in law currently expecting second child, what i really stress out it's like i feel my house has become to crowded and i dint have my personal space. There are light 8 grow ups and 2 baby with one baby incoming. Yes i do happy for them to expect another child but they should move out already. And my sister seem to comfortable staying with us that she almost make a statement sound she wont move out. I just cant stand it anymore. My house isnt that big too. I just want to make you know, u wasnt alone. Sorry if i posted something isn't related to your thread.

She's married, but for some reason she stays with us all week and only goes with her husband on the weekend. The only other kid in my family is my little brother. The rest of us are all adults and shoot we're old enough to move out and probably should've already done so, but we were all to lazy to hold down a full time job to live on our own. I'm getting ready to make that move now though. i'm 20 yrs old, my sister's 18, my two older bros are, 22 and 23, my little bro is 15, and my nephew is 1 & 1/2, along with both my parents (Dad-54 & Mom-40), that's the eight of us. I honestly don't believe that we'll find a place to take all eight of us in, here where we live.

Well ur sister pretty young. For me I couldn't wait to get a stable jon and leave the house. I want to make a living on my own without depend on anyone else. Maybe because of my selfish desire but i really want to move out from the house as soon as possible. Staying here make it feel less like home and more like an open house for other people.
