i cant say i speak/read fluently, but i get the gist of things when i hear ppl speaking japanese on YouTube or in songs....


(kanji is a monster all its own, im still looking for good resources, i recommend a kanji dictionary )

you also want to cheek out NHK world news website as that has free Japanese lessons, it has Hiragana and Katakana which is the base Japanese alphabet.
