Cheer up?! (7)

Yep, it's me again.
Again me with my happiness problems. No matter how hard I try, nothing seems to make me happy. I'm just depressive again. I started cutting again.

What makes you happy? What motivates you? How you overcome the depression?

I'm smiling for people around me, but inside I'm crying. But they don't understand me anyways. I'm just a middle sister to them.
Maybe I really should commit suicide? and have a new life?
I seriously don't know what to do.

What helps me when I'm down is listening to positive music in my room, singing along and sometimes even walking around while doing that. Songs like "what are you waiting for" (Nickelback), "Have a nice day" (Bon Jovi) Summer of 69 (Bryan Adams), All I Want (a day to remember), We got the Noise (Donots) for example. Just some songs with a positive message and melody. What helps me as well, when my thoughts start spinning in circles, is going out and jogging a bit. What may help you as well is writing thigs down that make you feel depressed or annoy you if you can’t/don’t want to talk about it.

When you feel the urge to cut yourself try to inhale and then exhale deeply und slowly. Tell yourself in your head or even with you own voice "I won’t hurt myself, I don’t need it, I know I can do without it". You can take a ball for example and throw it against the wall. If you haven't the opportunity to do that pleat your hands and listen to the sounds around you. Try suppressing the urge by doing that and then distract Yousef as good as possible. And keep the things you hurt yourself with locked away as much as possible. If there are any triggers try to find out when they occur and reduce these situations as much as possible. Keep bandages to fix yourself available if you should fall back and you cut a little too deep until you can handle the triggers.

And I know, I can only bid you but please don’t kill yourself! You are an individual, a person, and even if people don’t show it. I’m certain many people care about you. I do. And I bet many others here on this site do as well. A life is the most precious thing on earth and I truly believe you can make it through this. Deep inside you are way stronger then you believe you are. No matter how hard it gets remember we are here for you. You are never alone, even if you feel like you are. Pain won’t last forever, even if it feels like it will. I know you probably don’t believe me but before a rainbow appears it always has to rain. Hang in there JamJam, we’ll make it through this. It will get better!

I truly wish you lots of strength and all the best for you JamJam : )

hello. I have no right to tell you to stop cutting. However, i think you shouldn't.
Personally, I believe you can kill (or hurt) yourself if you wish but only as long as you'll have nothing you'll regret. This is pretty much impossible as far as I can tell. I suppose that's how I continue living? sorry I'm in a strange mood today so my comment is probably a bunch of sentences mushed together, making no sense.
Usually I listening to piano music or think of things I should live for. Don't create personal reasons because Ive tried and it doesn't motivate me at all. Create a goal that helps others because if you want to suicide, you don't give a shit about yourself (no offense). do i make any sense? anyways good luck and remember, only end your life if you can honestly promise you'll regret nothing

>>2 about listening music in my room, I don't have my room. I'm living in a small and old house, and sharing my room with my sisters. Not to mention I live at the countryside.
Thanks for advice though.

>>3 i wish it was so easy...

>>4 I regret most things in my life.

As for me, when I feel so down that I think it would be best for me to sleep and never wake up again, I'm trying to convince myself that I'm lucky. That I'm much more lucky than other people out there, who's in a middle of a war, who's living on the streets, who's all alone and don't have any family or friends. It's true that sometimes life is a bitch, but that's it. 'Sometimes'. Try to imagine 'What if's your life is theirs, those poor people that you don't know, yet always mentioned in the news. I will then said to myself, 'Whoa, my life is not THAT bad'. But I do not know your situation nor your life so, in the end it's all your choice. I just hoped you're not going to take a decision you'll be regretful after. You only have 1 life, so live it to the fullest.

the stuff >>6 says works sometimes, not always, but if you >>1 have yet to try that method, I say go for it and see if it works. My advice? Umm keep experimenting until you find out what works, a recommendation I have is to seek medical help. I just got diagnosed with epilepsy just last Tuesday. Having an official diagnosis for what you have maybe just what you need to boost your mood up a bit.
