So i been texting this girl for like a year (i'm a straight male) and she likes anime, likes puns and were both in the same mma class. It goes without saying that i'm a bit into her. anyways it dawned on me that she could be lesbian. She said she had a collection of snap backs, she watches Dan and Phill (two emo guys on youtube i think really not sure tho), also she likes emo bands ( for example panic at the disco) and she has a tumblr and dyed hair. so should i ask her directly
or should i just try to figure this out on my own and just stay friends with her. ( just clarifying i have nothing against the LGBT commuinty) ty :3

Don't assume anything and don't meddle around trying to get an answer. You're better off just asking her if she's with someone, and asking her out if she's available. If she says no, she'll likely tell you why.
