So my name is genesis and I am proud to say that I am a dollars member. Also I am 12 turning 13 but life has been pretty hard for me lately I have been suffering from depression and I also thought about suicide. I am the one who takes care of my mother with chronic pain and I love her but she also suffers from depression but I have to be the strong one even though I might be cold in the heart people don't understand that a child should not go through all this pain and my mom and dad are divorced and I have seen my dad abuse my mom too. Its hard for me to have to sleep next to my mom on her bed when I have my own bedroom but I can't sleep in it because I have to wake up my mom to tell her to put on her oxygen mask to go to sleep. And I feel that no one cares so that is why I am the only one who doesn't like to talk to people or go outside. Nothing is fine. But I work in silence so my success can be my noise in the future. I am also over weight and can't go to sleep at night. I hope u guys can show me that people are not so bad and to not give up. I hope there is some dollars in Connecticut.

I'm dealing with severe depression myself, everyone thinks they understand what I'm going through. They always tell me, people get sad get over it. Are you even trying to get better? I've been depressed before if it went away for me you should be fine. I'm 22 years old and I have self harmed. I still live with my mom because of my medical problems, I have seen my stepdad beat the ever living hell out of my mom with a folding metal chair and they fight constantly and I'm always afraid that he's gonna do it again. I have really bad epilepsy and the new medication I have been put on has caused me to gain so much weight that it's not even funny, I used to think I was fat and gross in high school but now I absofreakinglutly hate how I look and all because of a medication that is nessacary to help control my seizures. So I guess I kinda understand where you're coming from, but don't give up on people yet their not all bad, some might just surprise you.

I know it's hard sometimes, and life often deals you a bad hand. But I promise you there are people here, on the Dollars website and just on the planet Earth in general, who care about you. And we all want you to keep pushing forward. We know it's hard, we know that sometimes, no matter how hard you try, it feels like you can't do it, like you can't be happy. But you can. Everyone can be happy. You just have to keep searching for the right people, keep searching yourself, find who you are, find what you want. And don't be afraid to ask for help. But whatever you do, please, I beg you, do not end your life. All that does is eliminate the possibility of your life getting better. And I want your life to get better. So live for me, for all of us Dollars. Because, like we say, the world isn't as bad as you think.

Hey there Genesis. First of all, I want to say that i'm really, really proud of you. You've been through so much, and you've handled way more than I could have handled when I was twelve-heck, more than most people can when they are twelve. I'm sorry that you've had to deal with so much, but you've met it head on and I can tell you that you are a stronger person that most people your age. Know that if you keep working hard, things get better later on in life. Don't give up on that by ending your life. You've gotten this far, and you can get there, i know it.

Sometimes it feels like no one cares. But if it counts for anything, we care about you and your well being a lot. I'm glad you reached out to us, and if you ever need us again we'll be right here. I don't live in Connecticut, but i'm sure you'll find people nearby. People really aren't so bad. Try to reach out to to them irl as well as here. I think you'll be surprised.
