Hello, friend. I'm not the best when it comes to comfort someone but I'll try to help. Well, if your parents say mean things to you, it isn't really about you, I guess it's about who they are. Maybe they aren't happy with themselves so they end up taking it on you. So you have to rely on those who love you and want you to be well and you shouldn't mind your parents' opinion about you. I'm sure of one thing: time can heal all problems that we have. I hope it helped you at least a little bit and I hope you get well.

UUUUUUGH, story of my life right now. Bruh, I get you. Our problems aren't exact, but I can tell you right now it is not your fault. My parents butt heads too often, so I'm always caught in the cross fire. As my father puts it, "If your mother isn't yelling at me, she's yelling at you". Just know that there is nothing wrong with you though. Like Reizo said, the most likely case scenario is that they have many regrets in their life and have either up'd their expectations in you (only to be disappointed that their expectations didn't come true to the t), or they're regrets in life have caused them to take their anger out from life onto you. I know how it is to be compared to siblings, pretty fairly well actually. Most of my advice is coming from personal experience.

Look, it's simple. Ignore what your mother thinks when she compares you to your brother. It's pretty much "loving one child over the other" which we all know sparks negative thoughts in other's mind. Show your mother that you can do better, but it's also in best interest to at one point tell her how your feeling because of she's treating you like this. If she doesn't listen, please don't jump to worse situations, trust me, I did that and the mental hospital isn't fun.

As for your father. Start talking to him about what you could do if you continued to go down the path of competitive swimming. Talk to him about entering the Olympics in this path if you're interested about it. Give him a reason not to feel like you're a "wimp". Show him how well you can improve if you work hard enough.

I don't have any siblings or father (not getting into that) So I have no experience in this. But I think you should go for it! So what if you father what you to go for football. If you like swimming go for it! o what your mom thinks your brother is smarter. She her you can be smart too! Ask you brother for help! But most of all remember your not alone! you have all of us!
