Relationship Confusion (4)

Well to put this simple... I've been in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship for I wanna say at least a month... We live in different states, so we only video call and text... But for some reason I've always been feeling really negative about it... Scared how my parents are gonna react, because they already have a bad opinion about him. Well... that really isn't it.

I've been having this constant thought that we really don't belong together. To make things simple... The main reason my parents might not like us together is because I'm 14 and he's 13...

Unlike when I last broke up with my now ex-boyfriend... I had his help to comfort me when shit hit the fan. And suddenly he said that he had a crush on me. About a week or two later I admitted that I kind of liked him. I guess I got a little confused that we were dating because he never really properly asked me out.

Now I'm really not feeling the same with these weird fears. I mean... I guess I'm scared of breaking up with him so early off because of how the break up went with my last relationship. My ex and I never talk anymore, and that's another fear. I still want us to stay friends like we were before... plus his family was planning to come over here during the summer.

I'm just completely lost at this point... I'm not sure what to do anymore.... Thanks in advance for the help.

To be honest with you, I think you should have some time for yourself to think. It almost sounds like you have blurred the lines between love and infatuation. In no way am I qualified to tell you what you should do. But in my opinion, considering how old you are and assuming you are from America, it is not detrimental for you to be in a relationship at this time.

I think you should take some time (doesn't mean you have to end anything) to think about what you want and need. There is no reason to be scared, that is a common emotion and life will go on. Just because you are not in a romantic relationship with someone, doesn't mean you have to cut all ties with them either.

Once you find out what you want to do, you must be very clear in telling the people that this concerns your own personal feelings and wants. This is the most accurate way of progressing in any relationship with anyone.

Hopefully this helps a little bit.
