Through a lot of my life I grew up the way my parents wanted me to, I had to live with a personality that they wanted and a future for myself that they wanted, so in conclusion all my paths were chosen for me and I was forced away from making any of them. After thinking about this for a bit I came up with the idea of changing my name entirely after high school, getting the hell away from my family, and living a life I want to live. Most of my family are arrogant and they believe that their ideas and advice are above everyone else's and I'm sick of it. I want to shut them out of my life entirely but I'm not sure if that's too extreme. What do you guys think I should do?

if your family is controlling your life you should leave and do what you want to do.

HI. Well first I do understand what youre saying couse Ive been throuth it too. It is your life and you have the power to change it if you wish. it is your right from birth.And I think that your parents will understand you since Im sure they want the best for you. They just need time to show it. So what Im saying is that you dont have to listen to them. What the worse that could happen?(as long as its not dangerous for you).But do not disconnect too much your conections with your parents.
