This isn't really a birthday thread, kind of a "this is a question but tell me your experiences" type of thing (with some venting). So, the question:
Does anyone feel stressed with the coming of your own birthday?
I DO! I'm turning 17 in 2 weeks and the entire month is nothing but stress. My grandma is a NIGHTMARE. That stresses me out the most. She complains that we (my brother and I) never know what we want - or the things we want are sooooooooooooo expensive. Like what? I usually say I want a blanket and maybe a video game or something because I'm afraid to be yelled at for my choices! Also, my brother has a birthday 5 days before mine so If he asks for something expensive - I won't. I find birthdays really stressful, I just want it over. It's so hard to please everyone as well... Does anyone else feel this way? Does anyone else dislike birthdays because they are so stressful?

Nah me dont i just get money so i can buy the stuff i want, its so easy i mean you can buy a videogame by urself if you have the money for it, so just say i want money its the easiest thing

I'll be 13 on June 12 and it does scare me that I'm growing up so fast. Soon I'll be expected to have a job and a house when I can't even be out of the house after 10. It kind of worries me that I'll be out there with no idea how to handle myself and drown in everything. However, my friends are really supportive and love getting me the craziest things to make me feel better, so it's not all bad. But I think with the gifts issue is more of something that others should choose. It shows how much they know about you, and when they pick the perfect gift it makes both parties much happier. So no, I don't dislike my birthday. I don't think you should worry about it either. Hopefully this made you feel better, and happy early birthday!

I personally dislike my birthday because it feels like an excuse to get extra attention on a day of the year. I don't like celebrating my birthday because it feels selfish to me (which is hypocritical as hell because I love celebrating other people's birthdays).
