My father is really getting on my nerves lately...he keeps trying to change who I am, and he keeps trying to make me like him. I feel like I have no sense of individuality. He thinks my whole world should revolve around him, he thinks he's my shield and that I need him for everything I do. The only person who I can trust is my older brother. But I can feel it...I'm going to explode and it's not going to be pretty. How do I survive this?

I am in a similar situation like yours; MERC.
I'd been thinking about what should I do, what is the best option to choose, and all the time I ended in the same conclusion; just wait.
As kurosuke said, if you wait, you will be free.
Please, be patient.
I have to wait more than 2 years to achieve freedom. When I feel angry and like i'm going to explode, i try to relax playing soccer/videogames, or hanging out with friends.
So don't do anything stupid.
Hold on and let time decide.

Anyway MERC, I can't be empathetic to your case. Mainly cause my family stopped caring about what I'll be in the future.
Like they said, waiting is maybe an option. But another option is to tell your Dad about this.
