I just want to vent about how much of a horrible person that I am.I should also state that I am a guy. I was in a three-way relationship with two guys who I will call Alex and Adam and I got a bit to clingy to Alex though Adam was previously my ex and we didn't know Alex that much but I ended up becoming over attached to him and wanted it to be just us two and leave the Adam in the dust. After I had said this though I ended up mentily breaking my Adam. It turned out that Alex thought him being into guys was nothing but a phase so I left him and tried to get back with Adam though his family has forbidden me from seeing him. Even after all I did to him he still forgave me but I haven't forgiven myself for all the shit I put him through and I now realise that Adam is the one I truely love but I'm unable to see him

As for our OP here, first of all, terribly sorry about the mistake on my part. I'm not usually an idiot, but when I am, hoo-wee, look out!
As for your current predicament of plural paramours, I must say it is probably for the best that things have ended up as they have. I know it might not sound easy, but you need to let go of Adam and move on. It will ultimately be best for both parties here.
Believe me, I know how had it is to let go of someone you cared about so very much. But if the situation won't allow for a second chance, and there has been hurt in the past between you two, this is probably the best way to go.
