I need some serious advice... So I am hopelessly and utterly in love with my ex-girlfriend. Like the kind where she's practically got my heart on a silver platter; I'm literally willing to do anything for her.
However she's fallen for the one other guy... and he's made it clear he will never date her.
So as her best friend she still comes to me about her problems and it feels like someone is cutting me open with a plastic spoon when I hear her come crying to me... I'm mad at myself and the guy for it and I just want her to be happy...

Unfortunately I don't think there is much you can do at the moment. I say try to see if she gets over him, if she does then you should approach her and maybe say how you feel. If she takes what you say well, try asking her out.

The best thing you can do is to be there when she wants to talk. It may hurt, but if you keep worrying about it, it'll hurt even more.

Maybe later you can give it another shot at a relationship often times people quit one relationship and sooner or later find someone new they think life will be better with but then come to realize it it's much worse and know they made a mistake so she could still have feelings for u
