So I've recently been thinking about going to uni in another country (I'm from Australia) and I'm wondering if anyone could give me tips and info about how to get into a university in another country

Use agencies.
Or you could talk to your uni about exchange programs (if you're looking for temporary transfers).

I was planning permanent as I really want to travel and my girlfriend wants me to move to her country

Eh, then you'd have to ask around or go to some education expos to find out about a promising uni and then ask that specific uni by email and let an agency take care of visas and other things (or you can do that yourself. Which would be soooo complicated).
Although are you sure you want to do that? If you were to *drumroll* breakup with said girlfriend, where would that leave you?

Choosing a college based on romantic attachments is a dumbass mistake that is made far too often these days.

Reign, not saying your relationship won't last, but you never know what the future holds. Focus on getting your education first, so you can build a career for the future, and then talk it through with you girlfriend so you guys can figure out how to be together. Err on the safe side, I know you want to be together, but if you two love each other you will hang onto your relationship until the right time comes along.

You could always try applying directly to that uni, just as an international student. You could get scholarships and what not. I bet your school's career adviser could help you out.
