I AM ADDICTED TO YAOI. MY 10TH GRADE BOARD EXAMS ARE LITERALLY 3 DAYS AWAY (24th Feb). I NEED HELPPPP!!!! My obsession with yaoi started with Shizaya, and I thought that it would end there, but noOOOOOOOO!!!! Soon, I started reading yaoi mangas and am currently addicted to them. I literally cannot do anything else! I can't concentrate on my studies AT ALL. It may be a bit too late, but please advice me on what to do!!!

You may have to force yourself to stop for a while and then pick back up after your board exams. I know it'll be rough, but you can do it.

Close your phone give it to one of family member a try not to think about yaoi to much , be busy..really busy and that maybe work

I have a similar on/off problem with ecchi - and it has degraded my performance in school/college, and still does sometimes in university.

What I found works, is that don't fight it. That doesn't work. Think about where you read Yaoi. In your bedroom probably? Move away from your room. Go study in a library. Stay late at school and study - with friends if they're willing to.

It's hard for me to go even 2 days without Ecchi. But I go on a 1-week trip away from the city? It doesn't even cross my mind at all. Maybe like once, but I don't pursue it.

You can't do that when you have exams coming, BUT you can go to the library. Trust me, I NEVER study in a library. But last semester I had a report due the next day. Spent 8 hours in the library with a friend (also working on report) and I didn't get bored at all. Didn't get distracted - only purposeful small breaks to relax.

Seriously, try it!

I'm a hug secret Yaoi fangirling too. It's tooooo addicting so I know how u feel, but I think I know what may help. If you're Cristian/Catholic, just read the bible or something it kinda helped for me because I never really understood God. Since my family was Hispanic, they don't bother to teach me how to read, write, talk Spanish. But now I'm learning God in an English manner? So I understand more... Idk it helped me concentrate on not sinning... But it failed. Still I feel less fangirlly than I was before.

Why don't you find something productive to do? Like join a sport or something. Failing school and losing friends over porn? Like seek legit help if you are truly that messed up. Because it is messed up that it is such a huge issue that your life is affected.

>>3 I tried to force myself to stop... it's impossible

>>4 I did give my phone to my family, but I need my laptop for studies, and somehow, rather than studying, I end up reading yaoi manga. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME.

>>5 That's actually a very good idea, but, I can't stay in my school past closing time. Schools in my area function kinda differently... TT_TT

>>6 I'm an atheist so I don't think that'll help exactly... ^^;;

>>7 NOOOO PLEASE DON'T SAY THAT TTOTT

>>8 There's no one to play sports with... All the kids that live near by like to coop themselves inside their houses. That's why I stopped going out to play - there was no one to play with. I do drawing and singing and stuff, too, but after some time I go back to yaoi. I don't even study...

You know, I've somehow never had a similar problem, even though I do read hentai and stuff. Maybe, just do it? You'll get sick of it or you'll get so much yaoi shit stored in your mind that you can live 1 week without it.

BUT TOO LATE.

>>10 Don't mention the possibilities of there being more, it'll incite her curiosity, then her urges.

Try going to a public library or someplace.

You mentioned that you do drawing ang singing? Yeah, trying to distract yourself with that kind of stuff doesn't work. You do that, then when you finish, eventually go back to Yaoi.

Seriously, the best advice I can give you is to put yourself in a situation where you can't, or rather WON'T do it. You wouldn't do it in public right? You wouldn't do it in front of parents?

In those situations, it's not "Oh, I don't want them to see me doing it", but rather an automatic embarrassment.

Like, over the weekend, I went to watch Deadpool with friends. I covered my eyes or looked away at the sex scenes (has full nudity) automatically without thinking because subconsciously I know my friend (who did the same) is next to me.

If I was there on my own, I probably wouldn't have done that.

Read some Yuri then..?

Don't worry I had the same problem too.

One good suggestion is to have a study partner to help yo focus like a good friend who will tell you to snap out of it when you don't focus.

what is yaoi? if its what I think... Delete and burn all of it (ALL OF IT ) and when I say delete I don't mean just leave it in ur recycle bin... then pray to god for help, it really will help. next delete your internet history and if there are any links in your favorites bar/tab delete those so it's harder tio go back then, GET STUDYING and try your best

Totally second that.

Either way, the reality is that all human males like the idea of fucking any girl he can get his hands on, at least subconsciously. So basically, as long as you don't look like a troll and you have 'people skills', you'll get by just fine in this world. Just expect to be disowned by your family when you first come to embrace the meaning of your existence.

>>18 >>21 Me three.

>>16 1 day left, but what I meant was binge read till you get sick of it. To a male, it would be masturbating till you're limp, but I don't know how it works for girls. GL

Oh, I can sleep in class and still be good at studying, maybe you should try it next term

Better yet, delete yourself.
That'll also delete all the problems that come with existing.

>>17 That's actually a really good idea!! I'm gonna try that out. Thanks!!!

>>18 I don't think that'll help, since I already read yuri (not smut though)

>>19 My friends prefer to study by themselves... Selfish people TT_TT

>>20 I can't delete or burn the internet, though; I always find my way back to yaoi some way or another

>>21 ...

>>22 That usually worked with my other similar addictions, so I understand what you are saying, but the thing is, I take 2 months or so to grow out of something, and rn, I don't have that much time on my hands TT_TT [And I don't think I could pass if I sleep in class... Not me, at least]

>>23 Ok, whoa, that escalated quickly. I'm not suicidal, you know...

>>25 Please don't say that TTOTT [I do agree with the pic, though -_-;;]

Here is something that helped me, and that was after I failed my exam for the first time. I'm one of those people that normally never study only 3days before the exams. But one time I was so hooked ( I always was hooked) but I had such a problem that I ignored that I needed to use the bathroom/toulet/food and etc. But after I failed looked at my exam and tho to myself... I'm an idiot my first F. It really sucked.

Either way what I am trying to say is. It's better that you take a break ever hour. Put an alarm on, and start with a 15 min break every hour and read a something.
Later on study for 2 h and take a 1t to 30 min break and after a while... It will get smoother wit the studying part...

I was saying it to >>20 actually.
No yaoi addict could ever kill himself. Dead = no more BL.
Unless ofc, that persin happened to read some dark ones that leave a big impression.

31 Name: Meistes !/BRn4B8i9g : 2016-02-24 06:13 ID:tTlmjeFI [Del]

>>27 Ahh... I tried that. But then there's that generic problem of continuously saying 'Just this last one' or '10 minutes more' and the like.

>>28 I would know that the best XD But, the problem is with the failing part, and will fail if I don't do something at this rate TT_TT

>>29 Thanks, man... TT_TT

>>30 Ohhhh Lol XD ^^;;

I'm gonna be honest here.

From the way you are replying etc, I don't feel like you REALLY want to give up. Not really, no. You're gonna fail your exam. It's too late. Next time will probably be too late as-well.

You will face the harsh reality, nothing anyone says here will change your attitude.

After experiencing the disappointment, you will either A, regress even further and become a low-life shut in.

Or B, fully realise your addiction and take action upon it. Because it's you vs you. Only you can change it.

My ecchi addiction? Yeah, been 4 days. Haven't even glanced upon it. One LAST piece of "REALLY" good advice - but hard to follow:

Thinking "I'm boored. Let's read ecchi (or yaoi) for 5-10 mins only. I WILL NOT take it too far" is just plain wrong. The best medicine is staying away from the tiniest of exposure. Once you start, you can't stop until you go all the way 90% of the time. That usually means like an hour wasted at-least.

Got no more interest in this now. You're commitment to stop your addiction just doesn't seem to be showing through.
