Break Up (4)

Ok, so I just broke up with my girlfriend minutes ago. I'm just writing this thread not to seek for attention or advice, but to ask if what I did was right or wrong.
The girl "P" and I have been going out for a few months now. She was the first girlfriend I have had. I'm a junior in high school and she is a freshman, so there is an age difference.
So I made a huge blunder this Valentines day. Saturday my dad brother and I went to see Deadpool (side-note, GREAT movie) and didn't get home until after midnight. I went to bed and of course didn't wake up until mid-afternoon and saw that I had missed her texts the previous night, and her calling me a jerk for ignoring her. I apologized several times and told her why, but she told me to leave her alone, so I did. Fast forward to Tuesday when we get to school and she is clearly miffed. I try over and over to apologize, and she finally decided to give me a chance to make it up to her tonight. She said I could make it up to her if I was willing to do anything with our bodies. (Now any normal guy would be saying HELL YEAH I'M SCORING TONIGHT, probably, but I'm asexual, so I don't have those desires and considered it logically.) I tell her that I'm not comfortable with that because I am concerned about it progressing and turning to sex, which since I am older than her and close to 18, could eventually get me jailed for statutory rape and labeled as a sex offender for the rest of my life, thus ruining the possible 60+ years I have left. This of course led to an ultimatum being made where I had to choose to break up with her because I was uncomfortable with progressing further into what I considered a morally wrong area.
We are still arguing about this now, but Alea iacta est (The die is cast). i feel like an asshole for breaking up with her over texts and about this subject, but I don't want to ruin my life. So I want to ask you guys about this.

He'll yeah you did the right thing, breaking up with her. Why? Because then you'll feel uncomfortable even if rejected that offer.

she was in the wrong to try and force you to do something you were uncomfortable with, especially considering the age difference. She also shouldn't expect you to always be available to text, you have your own life and wanted to be with your family and that's fine too. As she is a freshman, she wasn't acting mature enough to have the long and intimate relationship like she may have been looking for. Good for you for making the right decision.

Thanks to both of you. I still feel like an asshole regardless, but thanks for what you said.
