It seems that lately there has been more and more counts of racist students at my school, one for example finally got expelled for a post on social media accounts. At least one student was taken care off but others not so much. Several students on campus have made sexist remarks towards my friends and me personally aswell. But mostly several racist remarks towards one of my good friends. It's sad, that students can be so hateful against student..

You should probably take it to the police if it becomes violent. Keep nagging the adults around and if they still do not do anything to help, i would invest in a lawyer. recount the times you went to an adult about what has happened and build your case.

I say, buy a voice recorder. Record whatever these people are saying to you and your friends. Then present it to the principle. That way, you have evidence on how people are treating you. If the school doesn't do anything, follow post >>3 and go to the police.

Or just endure it. Oh wait, this is the self-pity generation. Nevermind.

Get someone to talk to the 8th graders about bullying. It'll leave a mark on them to be kind and respectful towards hate.

Bullying is never acceptable. It's not because of a "self-pity generation". Get your head out of your ass. People shouldn't have to endure horrible treatment in a place where they are simply getting an education. Not only is it unacceptable, but also a huge distraction to the learning environment. Excuse this generation for trying to fix problems that past generations let happen and bottle up.

OP, tell authorities. Make sure you have evidence. I agree heavily with >>4. If you can, get your parents involved. They are more likely to take another adult seriously.

There's a huge difference between joking and constant bullying. Even I enjoy racists jokes since they're just that - jokes. But OP isn't talking about jokes. It has been bad enough that a student was expelled for it. And the remarks are unwanted and unwarranted. In this situation, it isn't okay. We're talking about a specific situation, not the human population as a whole. OP shouldn't have to deal with this.
