Scared for first job interview (4)

Hi everyone. I'm a 15 year old girl and I'm going to apply for my first job. I'm extremely terrified for the interview that's going to be at the end of this month. The area in the job I'm applying for is giving out tickets or giving people tours of the animals I think... I haven't had any working experience except for helping out at a stables and babysitting my parents friends, kids. I'm socially-awkward and anti-social, and my anxiety is really bad when it comes to doing new things. Can anyone please give me tips of what to expect, what to wear, or anything else you might think is helpful. Thank you so much! I've tried watching videos and doing research, but nothing's really helped me so far.

First of all, just start by accepting that you're nervous, it makes the interview easier for you. If it's a starting job, try to list the skills you do have, babysitting and helping at a stable is already a big plus in your favor. Expect your interviewer to ask about skills, experiences and what you might do if a certain event happens, (eg, if a customer becomes frustrated that the animal dirtied their clothes, or accidentally injured them,) try to be concise and clear with your answers, try not to use word fillers as often. Since this is a job interview for what i assume to be a zoo of some kind, Semi formal attire would be best, but don't go overboard, and try not to put too much perfume or strong deoderant, it tends to not work in your favor.

Be polite, and professional, these are the people that you will work for, but do try to sell yourself (not literally), make it so that you put yourself in the best light. Don't forget questions like, "what do employees like about working here?" Or, "what can i expect while working in this enviroment?

Good luck. Hope this is semi useful

>>1 Make sure to learn as much about the position, the employer, and the business in general. It shows the interviewer that you have a passion for the job and are invested in it. Good luck!
