Not enough time (7)

So I'm really stressed out over my wedding and there not being enough time to do everything. My family and his are complete opposite in the fact they want to throw me a shower but mine stresses out at the thought. Its all happening so quickly and it seems like everything is hanging on a thread. Last night I hurt so bad that I was quivering in pain. My fiancé tried to massage my back but it just felt like he was running knives instead of thumbs along my back. Has anyone had this happen before? I have a lot of issues with not being able to sleep on my back for the past 6 months or so just because I simply hurt. Sometimes it's worse, sometimes I can handle it. Any dollars members have some advice?

Although i can't say i've been in you're shoes... and even though getting married can be super stressful... shouldn't getting married be mainly about getting together with the one you love, rather than all the other extra get-togethers, parties, and planning that comes along with it? Stress less my friend. (Sorry, but I don't really have any advice for the back pain. Maybe it's from the stress and nervousness?)

No. Modern marriage is all about showing off to friends and relatives simply because it's what people do. Which is why a lot of brides have sour faces at the receptions.

Get a massage from a professional. Shiatsu or something.

screw the modern world. Why can't more people be willing to go against societal expectations?

Parents & in-laws, friends, community, etc. And the list goes on.
Unless you're an oddball like me, in which case I'd convince my spouse to dump all the other obligations and go camping for our wedding.

Serious inquiry: are you on any psychiatrist-prescribed meds? Back pain and anxiety are common side effects of hormone stimulants/suppressants.
