By not listening to our forefathers that laid out a excellent system for the government is probably one of the big issues.
Isolationism was one of those that we broke out of in WW2. I think we need to go back to the nations thinking, citizens and government, back before WW2. If we could revert to our previous ways then I believe more people would have a say and the citizens would be better people all around.

Honestly, I believe the foolish and irrational judgements made are a thing to worry about because look at what's happened because of the idiotic decisions that were made, not only that but what I definitely noticed (at least in my state) is that criminals aren't being sentenced to prison.

Honestly our school systems need work. We put so much pressure on the students and drive many to breaking points. Instead of offering life-advice and real world application, the students learn things that only apply to standardized tests. On the other end, we allow students that have no intention of passing to freeload in the schools. Students who have trouble passing but want to are not taken care of. A few of my friends in separate parts of the country have outstanding school systems and rarely have behavioral issues. This is most likely a regional thing but where I live it's a real issue.
