The more they stay the same. I wasn't sure if this belonged under Random or Personal. Someone will inform me, but that's not really important.

It's been years(?) since I've been to this place. I forgot what it was like. I do remember how I felt the first time staring at the Password page. I was so surprised that a curious google search led me to the famous Dollar Page. I didn't expect to find the "real deal"(?) I was excited to have found something to be a part of. Something that felt meaningful.

Then the hype died down, and I guess I saw this place as something other than this great place. It was a website, filled with people who wanted to be something that never existed to begin with. I saw how little things changed, how nothing was as exciting as it used to be. And so, I just left.

But as the more things changed, the more they stayed the same. Years have gone by, 5 I think, and I find myself wondering what has happened to the Dollars Site. Has anything changed at all? Well, not really. Even as I entered the password again, I had a feeling that nothing was going to be different. I guess you could say I was half right. While nothing has changed, this place feels different. I can't really put my finger on it.

And now as I type this, I come to a realization that I seemed to forgot somewhere along the way.

I am a Dollar. I was ever since entered the password. Although I've been gone, I don't think I could ever really leave a place like this. I am a Dollar. I've always been a Dollar. And I'll keep being a Dollar.

Because as the more things change, the more they stay the same.
