I need to learn to sew because I wish to become a fashion designer but I don't even know the basics of creating clothes and have never worked with fibers or textiles. I plan to go to college and major in Fashion Design, but I want to know how to at least do a few things before I do. Do they even teach you how to sew in a fashion program?? Will I need to learn the basics before I even get in there? If someone could teach me how or knows of a place I could learn for a very low price (if not free) could you please let me know? Also, I'm an English speaking American and I want to learn to read, write, and speak enough Japanese to show my respect for the country and maybe be able to visit or live there one day and not be disrespectful to the culture and lifestyle there. So if someone again could give me lessons or knows of a class in Lawrenceville, Georgia in the United States that is cheap please tell me.
