Long story short, I think I like my classmate/really good friend.

The guy in question and I bond through our (not so) secret love for anime. We met in year one and we hung out until year two (now). He would listen to my troubles (he was one of the few people who knew I suffered from depression) and was surprisingly tactful about it compared to other people our age. I could really connect to him, but at that point of time I thought he was just a friend.

Our class went out on new year's to celebrate. I went. Though I had other friends, that one guy stuck with me. I have a lot of friends (acquaintances?) so I hop from place to place a lot, but this guy would always follow me.

Usually, I would mind. No, scratch that. If it were anyone else, I would mind. But because it was him, I talked to him even though I usually didn't tolerate clingy people. Instead, I welcomed his presence with open arms.

In the end, I ended up not talking to anyone else but him. The class, of course, noticed. They teased us about it, and even though they have been teasing us since year 1 it only just sunk in that maybe they're right. Maybe I do like him.

What do I do? Do I even like him or is this some sort of twisted mob mentality? Do I go in for the kill when I live in an Asian country where females are supposed to be demure and wait for the male to make the first move, or do I just fuck the rules and make my intentions clear? Idk ok human mating rituals are hard.

Ask him if he has anyone he likes, but hint that you're interested in him. The chances of him making the first move soon are raised. Whe he does, you probably want to say that you will think about it first and tell him to wait. During this time, you should casually observe him and see if you actually like him. After you're done deciding, tell him your decision. Gotta add a little suspense and anticipation for the kid.
