some sort of gift certificate, not necessarily a whole lot, is always good. That way it can be used for whatever she wants/redeemed for money. Without knowing her that well, it might be the safest option. Or you could try to get to know her better (without being creepy). Just see/hear what she talks about and what she's interested. You do not need to make it the best gift ever, as you probably know. Good Luck!

New update: The due date is on Wed, so I still have a day left, but now things have gotten very complicated. My frienemy (let's call her Rachael) is apparently the best friend of the person I got. She lied and told the person (let's call her Isabelle) that up I got the coolest guy in school. Now 'Isabelle' thinks it's real and she is trying her best to 'help me'. But the truth is I know that a really popular girl got him and she holds grudges for a long time. So if she finds out, she'll think I did it intentionally and my social life will be over. So, I still don't know what to get her, but someone said she owns a iPhone 5c, so if anyone knows something for that. Also, it would be appreciated if you can provide a way to get out of this mess. I would get your friend(?) Isabelle a teddy bear and some candy. Or maybe just candy. Is there a budget for this thing? When I participated in a secret santa for class, people typically got their giftees food or small knick-knacks, because we had to fit it into a hanging beanie/stocking from the ceiling.
What does Isabelle like to do, do you know? Is she an art person? Does she like the class you guys have together? You could get her those cute small notebooks, gel pens, nail polish, a funny book, something stupid like a pineapple, gift cards...
