official NEET (Hikikomori) thread (12)

Hey guys! I've recently been gone for a while since I was busy, but glad to be back ^^ Just very curious (and please don't get offended about this thread), but is there anyone who are NEET's or where one before? If you're wondering what a NEET is, I'll give a brief definition I got from wiki:

A NEET or neet is a young person who is "Not in Education, Employment, or Training". The acronym NEET was first used in the United Kingdom but its use has spread to other countries including Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.

In the United Kingdom, the classification comprises people aged between 16 and 24 (some 16-year-olds are still of compulsory school age); the subgroup of NEETs aged 16–18 is frequently of particular focus. In Japan, the classification comprises people aged between 15 and 34 who are not employed, not engaged in housework, not enrolled in school or work-related training, and not seeking work.

There is also a japanese term called the "Hikikomori", which is also the same, for those who watched NHK or some other anime with it XD

In my own words, being a NEET is being anti-social, who wants to feel alone and spends most of their time doing absolutely nothing but entertaining themselves at home.
I wouldn't say I'm a complete NEET though; I'm getting close to becoming a NEET, since I am attending college classes and has a job at my restaurant business, but I'm actually very awkward and a social introvert. I found myself enjoying myself more than socializing with friends. I've spent time playing games, watching anime, drawing alone, learning new songs on the piano by myself, even swimming alone.

And I'm nearly 20. It's something that does sound fun being, you're doing what you want to do, and I see myself not even blaming a soul if I do find myself without a job if I ever get to graduate college, but it's just something I would wish to be.

So, are there any NEETs out there? Have any complaints? Worries? Even joy from it? Feel free to post anything related to NEETs or your personal life as a NEET, just no anime conversations or roleplaying.

>>3 I feel like I was deciphering a code when I read this. Please try to make your grammar better. Put periods or commas when needed.

>>1 I graduated from highschool, and didn't go to uni/college immediately. I had a job and quit it after a few months. So now I'm stuck at home. I enjoyed being with myself. And the silence I receive when I'm alone is a bliss. My family is very rowdy. So I can't really say that I like having someones company. Those few moments when everyone isn't around, helps me clear my mind and stress free. Though I enjoy watching animes or listening to music. I value silence more than anything and being able to sleep peacefully. My goal is to have my own room where no one's bothering me. Maybe an apartment with bathroom, kitchen, and bed room. Also a few hours of work and 4 or 5 days a week. And I will be happy.

I used to be a NEET, and kind of still am, sorta maybe? After I finished school I spent many months just wasting away doing nothing. I was technically "looking for a job" but with no connections or job experience so it was very doubtful I would get one. I eventually randomly happened to get a small job by pure luck and have worked there until now. It's hard really. Knowing what to do that is. I mean, I'd go to college or do some kind of study or training or whatever but what if you don't know what to do with your life? It's such a drag, and I just never feel like bothering with any of it. I saw a lot of anime when I was a NEET though.

The best part was that I saw Welcome to the NHK when I was a NEET. The pain you feel as a hikikimori is insane, and too real. I think I'll leave it at that though.
But all I do at the moment is work my small job. I never trained or studied to get some fancy, significant high paying one and just have a job anyone could do. I don't want to be tied down by anything. If I could I wouldn't even work but the world demands it and I'm kind of sick of relying on others so much.

I don't know what you're looking for or if I even qualify but feel free to ask me anything, in fact I'm kind of curious of this thread.

>>5>>6 You're making this way too big of a deal. I'm just being a grammar nazi like always, I didnt insult your life or how you live it. You talk about karmas, but you didn't even know whole story. The reason why I'm stuck at home cause I applied for winter semester. My classes start at January. I quit my job to have more time volunteering in the community service and get certification in food safe and first aid. I also have driving class and online class during that time. So I was busy as hell. So don't judge people just base on a few posts and if you haven't seen them in person. So happy holidays.

You're not a NEET if you go to school
