so about 6 weeks ago (18th of October to be exact (fun fact: 4 days after my birthday)) My mother found out that my father had sex with a woman he was chatting up for 6 week before. He calls up about one a week and only talks for about 3 minutes. On the day I found out I also learnt that he had a family before and had 3 children that he never talked to after that, and his wife did what he did to us. Now he lives at both a pub and his new girlfriends house. Now Christmas is going to be sad for my family and I'm sure my father would want to also have Christmas with me. I know a lot of people would have gone through what I have gone through and I was wondering how did you guys cope with Christmas (or any holiday) after your parents had divorced?

Being an only child and the fact that my parents divorce. I just live with it. I've lived with it for a very long time, since i was 4 actually.

Then i find out how much of a prick my dad really is and i'm so glad that i have my mother with me. I still visit my grandparents on my dad side from time to time, call them to say hi, but never talked to my dad again.

Just let it go and look at the good points of life. Keeping old bullshit like that is going to make you even more miserable than you already are
