Hey all, my son was just born last week and had a stroke while still in the womb before he was even born. The doctors have discharged him, but we have lots of follow ups with other docs. Please pray (if you are a religious person) or at least take a minute to send him positive thoughts. They are all appreciated.

While im not a religious man myself, i do give my absolute best regards to your son and family and I hope others will too. I can only imagine what you and your family must be going through during this time and even though this message may not do too much, i hope that everything will turn out for the better!

I'll pray for your family! I've never heard of a baby having a stroke. That must've been hard but I'm glad he's okay and hopefully will be in good health!

Thanks to both of you. Apparently babies and the elderly are the most at risk for strokes. On the positive, since babies have not learned what parts of their brains to use for what, they are able to remap things much easier than full grown adults. We are unsure what the long term effects of this stroke will be.
