pet worries (3)

I love animals, especially budgies, so of course i have had a few. The one i have now is my third one. The other 2 died, both of illness (different ones but still) so im always worried about this one. Every little thing he does and every time something looks even slightly different about him i panic and worry that something is wrong so of course, i go and research it on the internet and of course i find out the worst possible things that could happen and i worry even more. I have a friend who believes that the more we fear something the bigger the chances it will happen, so if i go with that, i need to take care of my fear... anyone have any idea how i can stop worrying about my budgie so much, amd also how to make sure he is okay? The vets here arent reliable so taking him there doesnt calm me much, not to mention my parents dont want to take him when i just ha e suspicions that something is wrong. They let me take him just when it can be SEEN by everyone that something is wrong, and for budgies, thats bad... how do i calm down from this trauma from the deaths of the previous ones?

This is a really hard question. From my viewpoint, I recommend listening to calming music to block it out, or to get another pet that is much more durable, or less dependant. This way, you can learn that some animals can care for themselves mostly

Maybe you can keep this phrase as a mantra "When making a diagnosis, think horses, not zebras" What it means is to think of the most simple answer first, most of the time it's the correct one. Maybe you can seek some help, it seems you developed a bit of anxiety because of your other budgies.
In the end just remember to have a good time with your pets ;) both owner and pet deserve quality time without having to worry.
