VCE students, Let's do this. (11)

The time has come, the time is right
tomorrow morning we shall fight.
It creeped upon us each day of this year
And every cloud is gone, our skies are clear.
If there is such a thing as luck
as brains
as brilliance
as stupidity
as stress
as hopelessness
what will beat it all is effort and our gracefulness.
Assure that we'll all have our pen in hand
in the exam hall we'll stand
all with sweaty palms and red cheeks
both our ass' and our face's
as 12:15 strikes
you will remember all those terrible hikes.
But we'll all be there with you saying,
"I know how you feel".

You will have regrets
you might cry
but give yourself no reason to say goodbye
to the future that you want
It will drive you forward
into the unknown
and bring you somewhere
to truly shine.

Welcome to the beginning.

VCE. Does that mean you're Victorian-Australian?

Haha ditto. I'm going into VCE next year but have been working on my ATAR and planning already

>>5 ah sweet, I wish you luck for it then. I've got about 5 more days till my last exam and it's pretty exciting to be able to finish at last (otherwise it's just stress all day).

Btw Aries, if you're living in Victoria visit these threads:

http://dollars-bbs.org/missions/res/1446696862.html

They're in regard to all of us Victorians and I wanted to keep you aware of what's going on in the community. Both posts are quite brief so it'll get to the point.

>>6 Thanks. Happen to know any cheap, great tutors for physics, chemistry, english and methods? XD

Thank you Hudley. Thankfully, I'm about three hours away from Melbourne

Hmm cheap tutors...

Not exactly a tutor but there are these seminars held by ATAR notes. They're generally free and they give good notes ($20). That's much better than what you would expect from TSSM (not free). Currently the most popular seminar classes held are TSFX (not free). They provide good notes and good explanations.

There are cheaper alternatives such as Engage Education (not free) which holds seminars, I don't think they provide notes but the explanations are good too.

I use to have this private tutor a while ago but she moved houses now hmmm. Cheap tutors are not generally easy to find. If you've got a good English teacher you don't really need any sort of external help. They tend to either confuse some people or don't provide anything at all, but no problems giving it a try at a seminar. For Chemistry, if you've struggled or are struggling in Unit 1 and 2 chemistry then it's advisable not to continue Unit 3 and 4 :/. I learnt that the hard way like many others.

So you're planning to do chemistry, physics and methods? That is hardcore but good luck. If you need any more advice just let me know.

I'm in Year 10 so Unit 1 and 2 start next year, but I've already done part of Unit 1 and 2 this year (my school starts most sciences in Year 10, at Year 11 level). I actually love Chemistry and Physics, and wish to continue them with Methods to either get into Melbourne University (best in the country) or go international, to pursue a honors/masters, or even a PHD in a specified field... Yeah already partially planned out...

Also, thank you!
