I'm concerned about the way you treat touchscreen phones. Not sure how old you are, but from the way of your writing and the story that you provide, you're probably in primary or secondary school. Anyways, I'm pretty sure you had at least two touchscreens/smartphones, so you probably had a few chances to actually handle a phone properly. Suck it up. It's not like you don't have access to Wi-Fi or Internet.

You even don't need an Iphone ! You're just in primary school and you request it to show it off to your classmates ! I'm in engineering school and don't have this stuff, by choice. It's expensive for nothing, its lifetime is limited, it's fragile, not safe,... My Nokia 1209 then the old Xperia X10 a friend gave me for helping him with school fully suits me. And I wasn't even able to break their screens.
