So my friend has had troubles at home and with socialising in general for years, if not most/all of her life. And despite my best efforts to keep her afloat and putting her before me, she now wants to do marijuana (for none of the below reasons) to "escape it all."

I really worry for her and had to struggle and try to get her to stop smoking before she got addicted. I just don't know what to do...

Marijuana isn't physically addictive, and she wont escape anything with it. Let her get stoned and be anti social. Not everyone has the same conceptions of popularity and the need for friends as you do.
Id rather have one good friend who cares than a hundred who would leave me in a ditch if they needed.

Marijuana actually produces more tar in your lungs than cigarettes. From your description of her situation, sounds like she is susceptible to addiction. She shouldn't rely on the drug to make her feel better, because she won't be able to do it on her own. Occasionally sounds fine if she's adamant about it, but try your best to make sure she doesn't get addicted.

Basically marijuana is a good calmant,but in small doses.If she will smoke big doses then her lungs will go down
