Not exactly sure (5)

I'm not exactly sure about posting this here but i suppose i'll give it a go.

Recently a new semester for school just started for me and my class had change because of the school wanting to shuffle the students around somehow. Only a few classmates from my previous class remained in the same class as me this semester but the problem is that i realised i probably could not fit in at all.

Pretty much everyone in the class had their own groups to hang out with, and even though i had a friend from my previous class with me, i still felt as though i could not fit in. I definitely do not stand out, in fact i'm pretty plain, usually just blending in with the background. Why i felt that i would never fit in because all the people around me seemed like those outgoing, 'popular' people but i'm incredibly awkward and introvert.

Honestly the new class makes me anxious (i get anxious pretty easily), it's only the second day into the new semester and i already feel like bolting out of the class and never coming back. I'm awkward with conversations, also i have bad experiences with school previously.

I'm pretty loss on what should i do and who to talk to now...

Thank you for spending time to look at this.

Sounds like something I'd do if I were in the same scenario o.e You're gonna have to get used to it, since you're going to be stuck with them for a while. (way easier said than done, but oh well. this is where headphones and a long playlist become a lifesaver)
As for making new friends, I can't really help you out XD Making new and real friends takes time, so just let it happen naturally. Who knows, maybe the next person you talk may end up striking more conversations with you to the point you know a lot about each other :3

I'm also going through the same situation. I do get along with the people but my problem is that I don't like some of them. Maybe you can talk with someone and find a topic to talk about and maybe it happens like this: "Oh we have so much in common" or something similar. Of course, it will take a while to get used to everything. For me it kind of worked and found a nice group.
But as >>2 said, you need to get to used to them especially if you need to do like group works in class.

Good Luck!

Don't worry dude, yeah things seem bad now but if you allow yourself to open up you can find a new frontier. None the less that's how we find others like us, and we stick together.

Thank you all very much for the advice.
For now i suppose i will just go with the flow somehow and see what i can do.
I'll try to open up more and get use to things around, though the sudden change of class and people is somewhat overwhelming but i'll do my best.
