Please don't judge someone by their religion or anything else.
I see many people who hate others just because they are muslims and they think they are Terrorists but please don't think like this.

I know what people mean by 'terrorists'. It's true that Christians are being killed but those groups who call themselves 'muslims' are also killing other muslims.

If you wonder why they are also killing muslims it's because: First: in islam, there are many kind of muslims. Let's just focus on these two kinds: Chia and Sona. None of these two are bad. They are just a little bit different, that's all. But the thing is that there are groups of 'Sona' who kill 'chia' because they aren't exactly the same. Those groups also kill Christians and etc..

But not all 'Sona' are like that. I know many Sona who are against those groups and even muslims are against them.
Please don't hate people for their religion. Accept everyone.
We are all humans and we make mistakes.

Thank you for reading :)

Sure not all muslims kill people, not all are terrorists. I mean I do have some muslim friends myself. The point is that there are those that are terrorists, and there is a fair few of them too. The problem lies with the fact of distinguishing who are terrorists and who isn't right? Though I do say that the quran does state something about forced conversion where muslims are taught to first to convince others to Islam but if not they are allowed to use force which sounds a little dodgy to me. Although I have read some parts of the quran I'm honestly not versed in this.

The quran is really different in Arabic. If you really want to understand a little bit the quran you should read it in Arabic BUT, reading it in Arabic doesn't mean you will understand everything. In the quran, all the words have many many many meanings. In islam there are people who try to translate everything and they try to understand but there are a lot of things we still don't really understand.

I read the quran in Arabic (of course not all of it) and I saw how it was in English and there was a lot of different things.
The thing I'm saying is not 'islam is the best religion' nah XD.
It just that we should accept everyone :D!

Again thanks for reading

Of course, I agree with that. certain words and meanings will surely have the proper meanings in arabic, similar to the bible and Greek. I think you should read the whole thing, I believe you are muslim? As a muslim I think it would be good to read the whole thing right :)?

Yes, I understand that that's fine. I personally am not of the idea that we should "accept everyone". If we accept everyone it would mean accepting all criminals etc. I think it's better to maybe say something like, we should try accept other people's views without forcing them upon others, however, that also means that others should also tolerate the fact that some religions like Islam teach their followers to spread their religion.

The problem is that these days, people get fustrated because others try to tell them about their religion. The contradiction there is that they themselves are not tolerating the fact that religions teach their followers to spread their beliefs.

Anyway, I digress, I would have to eventually read the quran with studying it in arabic too I guess.

I find that people often misunderstand Islam, and their biases against it are due to ignorance. Let me share some basic history.

Towards the decline of river-valley civilizations, like Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, Jews become some of the most prevalent peoples in regards to effects on other religion in the Middle East. While other cultures worshiped multiple gods, Jews were monotheistic, which was a relatively new concept in world history thus far. Christianity and Islam both share roots in Judaism, as seen in the religious holy texts.

Abraham is a prophet in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The genealogy of Abraham sets foundations in all three religions. Abraham marries Sarah, but Sarah is barren, so Abraham has kids with the servant, Hagar. She gives birth to Ishmael. Later, god is said to have granted Sarah the ability to give birth, so she and Abraham have a kid named Isaac. So, they have two kids, Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael's successors include the 12 Arabian tribes, which give rise to Islam. Meanwhile, Isaac has two kids, Jacob and Esau, and Jacob's successors are responsible for the 12 Tribes of Israel, which leads to Christianity.

Islam means, "submission to the will of Allah." The religion is said to have come from the teachings of Muhammad, who was a prophet of Islam, like Jesus. Muhammad delivers Allah's final teachings. The holy book of Islam is the Qur'an, which is full of revelations. Islam's main teachings consist of the 5 Pillars of Islam, which are The Testimony (declaration of faith to Allah), The Salat (prayer), Zakat (Almsgiving), Salm (Fasting during Ramadan) and The Hajj (Pilgrimage to Mecca.)

Islam became a fast-spreading, popular religion. People converted to Islam willingly, because it was so easy to follow. Islam teaches equality in classes, and promises salvation after death. It is important to keep in mind, though, that Jihad was also a reason why Islam spread, though not as important in early Islamic history as commerce and missionary trips.

Muslims are not terrorists. Some are, but terrorists who follow Islam are typically called Islamists. It's important to remember that no religion is inherently bad. Christianity is responsible for acts of terrorism too, as is Hinduism and Judaism. Islamist terrorism is just more prevalent today. Recall that the main teachings of Islam include the 5 Pillars. In early Islamic history, this was all one needed to do to be a Muslim. However, SOME Sunni Muslims believe that a Jihad is necessary, in order to create an Islamic Empire, like those in the Classical and Post-classical world. Islam is about the 5 Pillars, not Jihad. Saying that Islam is about Jihad (in regards to a holy war, not holy struggle) is like saying that Christianity is all about killing people who don't believe in the Christian God (As seen in the first testament, which is part of the bible, so it is a teaching of Christianity).

Islam is just like any other religion. It has basic teachings that normal followers will commit to. The 5 Pillars are like the 10 Commandments, or the teaching of Jesus, in a way. Every religion has a bloody past, whether they are persecuted or persecuting. (Take the Crusades, or Hindu intolerance of Buddhism in the Classical World.) The Islamists we see today are simply modern versions of that extreme. The Sunni- Shi'a divide is a clash that has been around ever since the first Islamic Empire, established by the Umayyads.

I thinks Muslims are misunderstood due to ignorance. If people took time to learn about the religion, they might be more tolerant. I've found that educated people tend to far less prejudiced than the uneducated. People should take the time to research Islam, and to understand its history. So, I feel the same about Muslims as I do with every other group of religious people. I disagree with them, since I'm an atheist, but I respect their beliefs, and I think that people should learn about their religion before judging it.

Also, I'm sorry if any of this information is wrong. I'm a ninth grade A.P. World History student, and I've never read the Qu'ran. I read my textbook and listened to my teacher, so if any of this information is wrong, PLEASE CORRECT ME! I don't want me, or any other people, to be misinformed. Thanks!

Also, let me add something important about the Sunni Shi'a debate.

Islam was divided very early in its history. This was because Muhammad never set up any sort of successor, or way to choose a successor. Because of his lack of choosing, there was a debate over who should succeed Muhammad. The Sunni's thought that the successor did not have to be related to Muhammad, while the Shi'a did. A successor to Muhammad is called a Caliph. So, after Muhammad's death, there were 4 "rightly guided" Caliphs, who spread Islam through conquest and commerce. Syria was conquered. Later, the Umayyads establish an Islamic Empire. They were Sunnis. The Sunni Umayyads didn't accept the Shi'a due to their different beliefs on succession. This debate is part of what causes the crisis in the Middle East today, along with American (and now Russian) interference.

Islamists tend to be Sunni, but not all Sunnis are Islamists. Most of them aren't. I find that most people aren't aware of this divide in Islam, and thus believe that all Muslims are bad. So, I reiterate: just do some goddamn research. Learn a little bit! Thank you.

It's all about the majority rule~
When a lot of folks believe something to be true, it becomes the truth to the world regardless of the fact

>>8 Definitely, I do know the history but thank you for sharing some interesting facts. Though I do agree, I think to honestly actualy challenge another religion on proper terms you should indeed research it well and properly. Something I think many people do not do due to the fact that it really isn't an easy task. I want to eventually study the quran though just to see what it really is for myself.

>>11 Yeah lol, what I meant by 'accept everyone' is what you said. I'm really sorry if I said something stupid or anything else xD

Because after I saw your comment I realised that if people read the Accept everyone, they would maybe get the wrong idea. Thanks for correcting me :D.

i am a Muslim and proud of it and it saddens me that muslims are discriminated

I personally love all Muslims. They are humans with feelings too. The media falsely depicts them. Others are killing them too. These killers aren't exactly "Muslims" as well. Muslims are actually pretty peaceful, and it's unfair how many people are discriminating them for false depictions and mistaken stereotypes. We should accept them as much as they have accepted us too. There are many Muslims who don't hate on other's religion, like many hate on them. We should treat them with respect as much as anyone else.
