Spend a holiday together alone

Two weeks' time is not that long so it is possible that he's still not comfortable with having a girlfriend, but that's just an opinion, and it is not your or his fault.
Try to being up any topic you have in your mind to talk about, sooner or later, if he's really interested in you he'll gladly talk about the things you mention to him.
I'd recommend saying how you feel at the first time though, because a relationship needs both to be honest, but I understand it is not that easy, I've been in the same shoe as you :)

Well I'm actually almost in your situation. My gf is the silent type where as i'm the one always annoying the heck out of her :v. but when we are together for the 1st few weeks, we barely talk. Its basically just nervous, or not used to having a girlfriend like that milo said.

Give it time, go out a little more, or if you feel like he's about to do something, you do it instead (that's what my gf did to me :vvvvvv)

Two weeks really isn't that much time for a relationship but it seems, from what you've said, that you two share a good connection. He may be more of a reserved type, and to answer your question: ("... then why does he like it when i talk so much?") he must be interested in you. It's the sign that he wants to know more about you. Give it time and he'll open up more.

I've actually been on his side of this situation before. He's probably just not so confident about himself but just remember that you probably make him happier than you know. Trust me.
