does anyone ever get really tired of life? like, not sad or in pain, but just kinda like youve done all that you needed to and youre ready to leave? i always see people trying to talk others out of suicide and stuff but i never really saw what was wrong with it and i cant help but feel like im missing some point of view?? if someone could make me understand what the problem with dying is id be really grateful, since ive tried and apparently cand grasp the concept by myself

I think that people's main problem with death is that it's permanent. You can't kill yourself and then regret it and come back to life. Other people can't regret your actions and make you come back to life either. The lack of choice scares some people (myself included). I personally have a problem with suicide because of the previously mentioned reasons, but also because it's a bit of a passive approach to life. I've considered suicide before (not very seriously though), but I don't think the elimination of potential is worth not having to deal with anything anymore.

Regarding " like youve done all that you needed to and youre ready to leave":
If you feel like you've accomplished your life goal: that's amazing and congratulations. Now you have some leftover years. You can use those years to help other people achieve their life goals so that they can be ready to leave when they have to. If you don't you're just throwing away all of those extra years.

That said, everything that can be considered alive will die at some point. I don't see any problem with that. I would just prefer to postpone it.

While I respect your opinion regarding death I believe that death is not some kind of ordinary choice in which you can really decide on whether to end it or not. I value life and that life is not something that we can just take for granted. I believe that while we can live the way we want we cannot own it.

Before you think of anymore thoughts of ending your life think about those people who are suffering from serious illness like cancer and the like and whose life is on the edge of the cliff; whose life is counted since they were already incurable. They still want to live but they cannot because of said illness. And just thinking about that it pains me. That is also the main reason why most of the time I cannot understand why would a person commit suicide.

I agree with rhymie that perhaps you can still do something more with the succeeding years to come not just categorically state that you accomplished everthing.

Let's enjoy life while we are still at it. So we won't regret anything later on.

i always think to myself "my life has only begun" because there is so much left to learn. life is truly a mystery. you can't know everything. i have a different way of seeing life. i love all seasons. i love spring because of the love that blossoms in the nature. i love summer for the flowers that blossoms. i love fall for the color change in the trees and it is so beautiful. i love vinter for the snow, it´s like a crystal white land. i bet you all think i am positive all the time. but i have my downfalls to. but i get over them as well. i am a goofy person, so my mood changes a lot. but my feelings for people do not. i still love my boyfriend even thought he can be as stupid as a rock. i stil love my siblings even thought we argue a lot. but i don´t love my ex anymore :P i guess what you can do is to make goofy friends! random shit happens ALL THE TIME. and sometimes it can be annoying. but i would be boring if it just accidentally stop.. it might be hard to make more friends. but it is always wort a shot? and i swear you won't regret it ^_^
