How do people deal with anxiety and depression. (7)

So a couple of months ago I started accepting the fact that I had depression. This came about after a talk with my sister about how I was going through some of the stuff see did when she was younger. I realised that I hadn't talked to anyone in months ( Lived out of home + worked alone in a retirement home), so I quit my job (not that I could support myself off it anymore) and moved back to Mom and Dad's place. After a while happiness with my old friends and having people around, I started realising the amount of damage that had been done while alone. I'm feeling as if my conditions are getting worse, but I don't really know how to cope with it. I've probably been denying this for years ( and I have this thing hammered into me where I can't talk about myself and my life :/ it kinda shit )

First piece of advice I could give is to not deal with it alone. Are any old your old friends up for listening to you? Will your parents? Are they are groups near you for people to talk? I know you've said you find it hard to talk about yourself and your life, but you've made a good first step posting it here, keep taking steps and see where you end up.

Question, what damage do you think you have done? I believe more people than you think actually have this problem to deal with in life. I know you say you can't talk about yourself, I understand that I guess, but if you just have any information regarding what you mean by "damage" and what you think is wrong I think it could be helpful :P

>>4 Like... This is hard to explain... Like how bad I felt or stressed out I got became worse and worse over time. I recognise that many many many more people are going through worse than what I am going through or have been through. I guess I meant that I realised, I was worse then what I thought I was.

As a psychological person I will try and explain. There are many different reasons why anxiety and depression takes over people's lives, but there are a few good ways that you can overcome depression. First, filling in the gap. Depression is a void in your heart that feels like can't be healed. Find someone. They may be a stranger you haven't met, or someone you already know. Just talk to them about how you feel and try and have them comfort you (if you have a good family then family works too). Anxiety is more of a relief when you say it so someone out loud and telling yourself that no problems can effect you to an extent that you are who you are and you shouldn't have to worry about what others think or other problems (what others think is the largest one). That's the best advice I can give you, just believe in yourself and hope for a better future.

However, I will give you a plan b just in case plan a doesn't work. Delete your emotions. It's pretty simple. If you delete your emotions and then start to just relax in the fact that you don't have to be sad or mad or even happy, then you can just enjoy the fact that you don't have to worry about emotions. THIS IS A FALLBACK ONLY. I don't usually suggest it but I have seen some cases where it does come to deleting. If you have any questions, email me at kaifairchild.dollars@gmail.com

Isn't it more that you were displeased with your new lifestyle? It sounds like you didn't have enough free time to spend with your friends and financial issues only made it worse.
I'd consider searching a different job, one that allows me to meet my friends, and financially sustain my lifestyle.
Furthermore, aren't you happy when you're around your friends? Right now, it sounds like you enjoy being able to meet your friends. In that case, if you still find joy in that, you are not depressed.
