Bad luck before work (3)

So, after looking for my first job for well over a year, I finally landed a position at an Amazon Fulfillment Center. I'm expected to work 10 hour shifts with a single half hour lunch break and I need to be able to lift 50lbs.

However, while attending an anime convention last Friday(SaikouCon), I somehow managed to sprain my right wrist by simply twitching it. The pain was excruciating when it first happened, so much so that I literally could not move my hand otherwise it would hurt like hell. The next day it still hurt if I moved it, but it was very tolerable. I thought it was just a pulled muscle that would go away in a few days, but after I continued to feel a very slight twinge in my wrist I decided to check with my doctor and she told me it was a minor sprained wrist.

That's bad luck because I go for my orientation on Friday and I'll likely be starting work on Monday. I've heard nightmares about that place and if I need to lift 50 pound totes that'll be an issue for my wrist. I've had one person tell me that they might refuse to let me work and let me go before I even start my first day. I've also had someone else tell me that they couldn't give a rats ass if I'm injured and would pile double the work on me.

This simple sprained wrist just had to happen now of all times. My doctor told me it'll be a week or two until my wrist is fully healed, and at the moment I can only feel the slight twinge of pain if I press my hand against something and push real hard, as well as lifting stuff though that seems to be related to the angle at which I'm holding the object. I'm currently wearing a brace that's preventing my wrist from bending, but I don't know how much good that'll do me, especially since my arms aren't actually strong enough to lift 50lbs easily. I can do it, or at least I believe I can. I lifted a large sheet of plywood that weighed approximately 51 pounds. I stumbled around and nearly fell over, but I was also holding it awkwardly because my arms were barely long enough to grasp both sides.

I'm torn about how I should proceed. Should I withdraw my application and try to apply again once my wrist has healed? Should I try and get my start date pushed back? Should I just push through the work without telling them about my wrist? Should I take my chances and tell them about my wrist in the hopes they won't let me go without another word?

Don't work at Amazon no matter what you do they treat employees like shit and if you get injured it makes it even worse. My mom worked there and got injured and they treated her like crap for months even though the incident was their fault.

Yeah, that sounds like a shit job all the way around. Highly recommend against.
