Future Thoughts and Running out of Time (2)

I'm going to be graduating this year from high school, which means I'm soon going to have to apply for a college/university to go to. The problem is, I still have no idea what I want to do in the future.
I don't think getting the marks for my courses is that big of an issue atm since all I have to do is study harder. It's the choosing part that I need help with. I have no clue what kind of program I should go into in college/university, and I really do not want to pick a future job I will regret. I know there's the choice of picking one program and after I graduate from those years, I can always go back to school to get my degree for another program if I don't like the first one. But there is also the problem with money since my family already owes a lot of debts because of my older sister in uni. And if I do get a part-time job while I go back to study my second time, I don't think I will be able to manage. That's why I want my first choice to apply for a program to also be my last one.
And it's not like I don't have an idea of what I wish to do. It's also the fact that with unemployment rates hitting an all time low, I don't think that I will have that great of a chance to be hired (especially with the society we live in today).
I had wanted to be involved in criminology or such (like forensics or detective work) but there aren't many positions opened to begin with. I had also thought about being a book editor, but the chances of me getting hired is even lower, especially because I'm not in a country where there are a lot of publishing companies. I do not want to go into business because I just don't think it's suited for me, and I don't really want to become a doctor because I don't find it interesting.
Please help. Any advice will do (except for those who plan to tell me to "Suck it up", 'cuz I've tried and I'm running out of time).
Thank you! :)

Well, I would say take the hardest job to get into.

Reason: You can always switch down to a course easier to get into but you can't always switch up.

I see that you seem to be leaning towards, science, don't worry too much, many people do science without knowing what they want to do. IDK what programs you have but you could take a science degree and try go into forensics that way. Some people get into pre-med just to change afterwards if they want to, I mean you still have time to choose in university. Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to, in any degree, that's true, I found myself doing some courses I didn't like. I thought medicine or dentistry was what I would do, but in the end I found something else along the way so I ditched that and changed. So I'd like to remind you that yes you may choose a certain degree and find a way. However, there are also times where you feel like you really am unsure, and in those times I'd go with the option with most options of course. If you KNOW you want to do science I suggest trying to get into pre-med or something high up, that way you should be able to get credit for your courses if you do change since they are all science anyway.
