That's all there is to it. I am neither the me of the past, nor the me of the future. I've been regretting some things in my past, but I started to see myself and others as the people we are now. A character is defined by his actions and thoughts, I am not saying that the past doesn't matter, but I think you can never really know what a person, even yourself, might do.
I do not know what I want to do in the future or whether I'll regard what I am doing now as pointless 10 years from now, but I am the person that I am right now, if you simply ask for my character, well maybe that's a less temporal state.
Who knows, maybe tomorrow, I would already describe myself as a different person than today?

I'm not sure of that. I also used to think I was unpredictable, because I followed whichever wind passed by, tried whatever I wanted to try.

But that was exactly what made me predictable : people known that I would do what they asked me to do, which activities would sound great enough for me to do them, which studies I would begin...

Eventually, I act exactly in accordance with the events of my life, and learn from them for the future events. Any experience have sources and consequences : there is no room for chance, I am fully influenced.

That's also the case for anyone : we're all the product of our education, our environment, the people we meet,...
The outlines of our lives are anything but unpredictable.
