HELP! COMPUTER SCIENCE GRADUATES AND UNDERGRADUATES! I NEED YOUR ADVICE! (2)

I'm currently a freshman majoring in CS but the thing is, I'm struggling with it. I'm not very good in coding and math. A week from now, we'll be ending the semester and most of my coursemates(including my close friends) have already started working out on their shifting forms. It makes me want to do the same but I don't know what degree program should I transfer to.
It's somewhat like: "If I'm already having a hard time dealing with my major during my freshman year, then, I'll probably suffer even more on the following years in where we'll be encountering some advanced programming shizznit. "
...I tried talking to my parents about this but it seems that they can't relate. All the advice they gave was "study hard". Hell, how can you even study hard on a major that focuses on hands-on and application activities.(which I'm also not very good at). I know it takes practice and I'm trying to work hard but it just doesn't work out. :(
HEEEELP! I need some advice! What do you think should I do?
...and thank you very much in advance! ^_^

Hey Schnitzel. I'm not 100% sure how college works in the states ( I'm assuming that based by the way you say your majoring). From my experience, the first year in college I struggled with coding. I mean i hated it. And like you I started to doubt my choice. But coding has a steep learning curve, and for most people it takes a while until it clicks. And when it does you'll understand. Just keep practising. And when I mean practising, get hands on, get creative, start of by coding little user forms and messing with GUI's. Hit up code academy and learn some new languages. Its like anything, the only way to get better and something is to keep doing it. As for the maths its the exact same, practise. Get a foundation maths book and go from there, its all about knowing the rules. check out khan academy and the MIT website. They got some good lectures on there. Theres more I could write but Im gonna keep this short, basically, dont lose hope, coding is really fun. For maths, the best way to get better is to master the foundations, whether its from number lines to calculus and eventually higher order PDE's. Knowing the foundation and rules of maths is key. I hope this was somewhat helpful. I'd really hate to see someone leave the STEM and CS fields so keep at it. :) again apologies for any typos. I suck when it comes to grammar.
