Jobs with less than 40 hours (3)

Hey guys. Just wondering about this. I'm going to be graduating college next year and honestly, with my Marketing major, basically every job is a 40 hour desk jockeying job which I can't stand. I was wondering if there were good paying jobs with less than 40 hours a week and no desk jockeying.

It depends on whether you want to get paid to market or paid to teach how to market (or paid to do something else entirely). You can always do marketing consultations with small businesses to offer advice and such. You have quite a bit of control over your hours like that, but it may require some traveling. Odd jobs or freelance marketing help could be used to fill in the extra hours.

But it's really up to you. We can only give so much advice not knowing what you're interested in, what state/country you live in, etc.

Have you considered going into marketing research? I do believe you can do field work or desk work in that area. I reckon the hours won't change much but at least you won't be sitting at a desk. I work for a very big international company and spend a lot of my time sitting at a desk. Now I don't rock a suit and I pop down to the labs once in a while which gets me off my ass but I know the feeling of being stuck at my desk. But being a desk jockey isn't all that bad. Tbh if your not going to be at an office huddled over a desktop computer, your probably going to be huddled over your laptop a home. So basically what I'm trying to say, is a lot can change in a year, so it would be best to worry about that kinda stuff when the time comes. But like ObamaSenpai said, It's really up to you.
