Tough Decision (3)

So recently my fiance and I were in a bad car accident. The car was totalled, my friend who was driving wasn't hurt, my fiance had a couple bruises. I on the other hand ended up with 5 dislocated ribs and a bruised sternum from the seat belt that my fiance makes me wear. This accident re injured my ribs from a snowboarding accident 4 years ago that hasn;t properly healed yet and now with the pain that i'm in from this it is making work and school difficult. The college I go to is very hands on and in my classes I have to lift very heavy objects for an extended period of time and I can't have someone help me because i have to be able to do it myself. With work I do IT work and there is a lot of crawling around in server rooms and dealing with heavy server mounted boxes. With my ribs in the condition they're in lifting anything heavier than my laptop hurts more than anything I've felt before in my life, and I just want to ask my fellow dollars what I should do. I've considered dropping out of school or taking a semester or two off because of this and because paying for it is going to be a problem, and i might have to quit my job because of this. Please give me some advice if you can guys

Wow that sucks man i hope you and your fiance get better. Dropping school and quitting your job your in a tough situation, well maybe you could talk a family member like your parents about this they will probably try to help financially. i would try to stay in school as long as possible. I know this advice isn't the best but it's all i got, best of luck in school and i hope you get better :)

Hi there Shirou,

I'm so sorry to read this. In my opinion, as an occupational therapy student, you should do ''whatever makes you happy'', sounds easy right? well no spoiler alert, it isn't... But in order to decide whatever makes you happy I suggest you set priorities, what's more important to you, you study, work, getting a full recovery (if that's an option). Perhaps you could change your job to a less physical demanding job (idk if that's a thing). Also, like Alpha said, you could ask a family member for financial support. What's most important is to stay positive! Drink a lot of water, take a walk, get some vitamin D, stay healthy (y)
