As much as I love socializing with people, the one fact that everyone comes to after about a month or so, is that I am the largest asshole on the entire planet. Like there are times when I'm tired and I don't like helping people often, so when someone asks for help all I say is "No." Then the person says please I repeat myself, and it goes on for 5 minutes. Eventually my friends who are used to my narcissistic attitude just stop hanging out with me. I asked one of them why, he responded "Because your a douche." I say I don't need them, go back to being a loner, BUT THEN THEY COME BACK TO ME! We hang out then after a little while I'm a douche again. Is it me or what I don't even know anymore

I think you're just taking everything too seriously. They may already had forgotten about that conflict, and you are still thinking that you're a douche. But, maybe they are your friends, because these ones will accept you no matter whether you are a douche or not.
Sometimes I have the same problem, and my friends just feel a bit confused when I refuse to help them or even to talk to them. Just try not to show your true emotions and be nice to everyone. Dollars should help everyone, even if they are going through tough times themselves. Remember, people rely on you!:)
