Getting out of depression (11)

1 Name: Dav_00 : 2015-04-04 12:59 ID:u1RaP+Z8 [Del]

Hey dollars. I think I got into depression. It is currently not severe. Does anyone have similar experience?

I actually have depression, so...If you think you got into, go to see a professional as soon as you can! But a good one.
Or make a list of reasons, try to see why do you think you have it.
I don't know, really, what to tell you...But the sooner you do something about it, better.

The key is to not let yourself fall into those cycles of negative thinking. If you start having garbage thoughts filling your head, go do something fun, distract yourself with some work, or find someone to talk to so that you can clear your head out. The longer you sit there and fester the stronger the depression gets over time. It can be pretty difficult to do of course, but if you find something that works for you it's the best way to pick yourself up.

Clear your head of any negativity. Feel free to vent or rant about it. Someone will be there to help you, and you won't feel so depressed anymore. :)

I'm with my Gangster case until now and yesterday that boss who stabbed me last week attacked someone from my school again. -_-
I'm afraid they'll attack my bestfriends if they'll discover im Yuri.(My bestfriends are fans of Yuri) But for now I'm sure they can't visit the site because they're having vacation now. -_-
So as of now, I'M GIVING MY ALL FOR ALL OF YOU TO HATE ME!
HATE ME NOWWWW!! -_-

I jump in and out of depression. Sometimes is it severe and most of the time it isn't.

Best thing to do is turn to trusted friends and family members. That is, if you are comfortable sharing with them. I wasn't, but I would think this is best. Share what you’re going through. Face to face is better since through email/texts it's a bit harder to communicate your emotions. Note that people you talk to don’t necessarily have to be able to mend you. They can be good listeners. Sometimes, it feels good to pour out your feelings to people who won't interrupt and will encourage you by just listening.

Even social activities can help whether you like them or not. Apparently, when you're depressed, it sometimes comforts you to be around other humans who have the right attitude.

I don't recommend this as much, but joining a support group may help. Holding conversations with other depressed people can make you feel less "lonely" in being depressed. Not only can this help you, but you can also support and perhaps even given your own personal experiences to help others.

If your depression is critical, it's best to confide in a counselor, therapist, or clergy member. But from what you said, it's not severe, but talking with a counselor or such can help.

As to what Ungulate said, it's good to get rid of the negative thoughts and replace them with positive. Beating yourself down won't help (obviously), so be sure to try and look on the bright side.

Find a cool hobby or sport and friends to spend quality time, you would maybe feel better.

If you have depression, no matter how severe it is or isn't, have hope. Whenever you feel hope, hold onto those feelings of hope and never let go. I truly believe that hope can act like a light to guide someone through the darkness of depression. Use positive distractions to get rid of the negative, and always find people you trust to be around with. Whether you tell them about your situation or not is your choice, but it could definitely help. So stay hopeful, because I promise you that hope can guide you out of depression. The world isn't as bad as it seems (yes, I realize this is a Durarara reference, but it's true), and after you get out of the depression, the world may even seem brighter and better than it was before. I know that might sound crazy, but it's true. Going through depression can teach you valuable life lessons, that help you see the world in a better way. I really hope you get through your depression, and I hope that maybe this helped, at least a little. :)
