Is the illusion of freedom better than the knowledge of oppression? (8)

Would you rather think you are free when you are not or know the truth even if it means that you realize you are oppressed?
Personally speaking, all human beings are born free. So no matter how much someone enslaves you, you are still free. At the end we all came from Adam & Eve...... I'd like to hear your thoughts....

"If ignorance was truly bliss, then all living things could be content."

'nuff said.

Hmm I never thought human beings had freedom, even since the day they were born. We're held captive through out our lives. But I wouldn't really call it an oppression. We're definitely oblivious to the fact we're in a prison, whether you travel to mars to start a new life or stay on earth, almost like birds who've never left their cage, we don't know what freedom is and we think this 'oppression' one might call it, is freedom.

I'm not exactly sure how to define freedom, but I would definitely prefer to know the truth even if it's bad. I more or less agree that "ignorance is bliss", but how can you expect to solve a problem you don't even know exists?

>>4 Word. Without realizing the root cause one can not provide a solution to any system, including life.

Also, food for thought:

>>1 OP you're post was ok until you ended it with something a bit too religious.

Keep that stuff to you're self, unless you want to move this to another thread about religion and if there is a god.

>>4 I hope you aren't referring to the quote I posted because that would be a huge misunderstanding.

The thoughts and belief of being free give a person comfort.
