i have a good friend of mine who's drunk right now. i'm not in the same town as them, i'm talking to them via Skype and facebook, but it's obvious. i've been encouraging them to drink water, and someone with them has been giving them some bread and butter to eat, but what else should i say or recommend to help them? i'm really concerned...

i should add; they're not at a party. they're at home, and they're not drinking any more.

I would honestly just keep contact with them and the person who is reportedly bread and buttering them (sorry not a euphemism). Actually, especially keep in contact with the person doing the b&b'ing, they'll know what's in your friend's best interest at the moment. Otherwise, just trust that your mutual friend has everything under control. Good luck, mate.
